Painting classes are held in the grounds of 'Il Portico'
as well as on site
in the Valle d’Itria with workshops and informal lectures
held in the 'lamie'. The painting day begins at 9.30
breaking for lunch then continuing through the afternoon.
Participants are then free to work on into the wee small
hours or simply relax and enjoy the evening meal or take a
stroll around the neighbouring hilltowns. Included in the
7 day holiday are visits to the local towns as well as
painting excursions to the coast and sites of pictorial
interest. Courses are open to beginners and experienced
artists alike and are run for a minimum of four to a
maximum of ten participants.
Jacqueline will guide you through a variety of media,
techniques and subject matter, offering as much support as
necessary or simply helping you to explore your chosen
media and subject.
The cost of the 7 day holiday is €1,250 for full-board
accommodation based on two sharing. Single rooms are available with a €100
supplement and are subject to availability. All tuition,
painting excursions and a basic selection of materials are
included in the cost as well as transfers to and from Bari
and Brindisi airports. The cost of the holiday for
non-painting companions is €850 and is all-inclusive with
the exception of tuition.
Flights are not included but we recommend Ryanair’s
scheduled flights from London Stanstead-Brindisi on your
outward journey and Bari- London Stanstead on your return
if you are travelling via London. 'Il Portico' is situated
at aproximately 40 minutes drive from each airport.
